Dimapur, April 29 (EMN): The Royal Foundation School (RFS), Phek observed its 20th Foundation Day in the school premises on Saturday.
D.P Yadav, senior most teacher of the school, “encouraged the students to live up to the spirit of the name of the school and stressed on the need to build a royal foundation of the schooling,” informed the school in a statement. He expressed his gratitude to Dr K. Hoshi, proprietor-cum-managing director, for establishing the school which was the need of the hour then, also acknowledged both the past and present school authorities, teachers and pupils for their immense contribution towards the success of the institution.
Dr K. Hoshi informed during the occasion that the school was started on April 27 in 1999 “with a mission to provide quality education as well as to fulfil the educational needs of the people within the vicinity.”
The proprietor and managing director of the school went on to say that the institution “strives for holistic development of the child and has been producing excellent results over the years.”
The school has 627 students currently and the authorities are working to upgrade it to higher secondary from 2020-21 session, informed the statement.
