Kohima, Dec. 29 (EMN): Round 4 of Blueband FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2022 (INRC) will be held in Kohima from January 12 to the 14th 2023.
This was announced by the organisers on Thursday in Kohima during a press conference, which was addressed by Premnath K, chief promoter, Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) Blueband Sports; Burakum Ao, president of Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) and Peter Rutsa, convenor of NAC.
The event is being organised by NAC in partnership with the Government of Nagaland. The first round was held at Chennai, second in Coimbatore and third in Bangalore.
Rutsa informed that the event will be held in Northeast Council (NEC) Road from Jotsoma (By-pass road) to Dzulekie in various stages on January 13, while the second route will be from Kohima by-pass road to Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) on January 14, covering a total distance of 120 km.
Ahead of the main the event, there will be a talent-hunt for the Northeast drivers on January 8 and 9.
This will provide an opportunity for drivers to qualify for sponsorship as well as participation wherein 30 slots are being allocated and the winner will get a wild card entry to INRC 2023 with full sponsorship.
The organisers also informed that prominent personalities in the field —Gaurav Gill (JK), Karna Kadur (MRF), Aditya Thakur (MRF), Fabid Ahmer (JK), Chetan Shivram (Snap), will be participating in the competition.
Meanwhile, entries are still open for the interested participants, they added.
