Rostrum for age-old bond between villages

EMN DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 The age-old bonding friendship between Longsa village and Sapotimi village re-lived once again as a member of Longsa inaugurated a village rostrum at Sapotimi on September 13 last at a large gathering participated by leaders and public of both the village.Additional Development Commissioner of Nagaland, Temsuwati, who is from Longsa village was the chief guest of the occasion which marked the strengthening of deep rooted relationship of the two neighboring village. Sapotimi villagers accorded an overwhelming reception to the chief guest and other dignitaries from Kohima, Mokokchung, Dimapur and Longsa who attended the inaugural function with colorful presentation of cultural items such as dance and songs. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest urged the people of the two villages to uphold the cordial relationship of the two that has existed since time immemorial. Temsuwati also appreciated the Sapotimi villagers for inviting Longsa village council and church to the village in August 31 last for deepening the friendship. Village rostrum was constructed by the VDB. Function was chaired by Tokugha Chophi, Kihoshe Swu, pastor, SBC said the invocation prayer, Pukhato, head GB delivered the welcome address, Vitokhu Achumi proposed vote of thanks and Shivishe, church secretary pronounced the vote of thanks.
