Rongmei Council Nagaland holds general conference, elects new team
The newly elected office bearers of Rongmei Council Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — The Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) held its general conference on October 25 at Lifespring Corner, Dimapur, with delegates from Kohima, Peren, Chümoukedima, and Dimapur districts taking part in the event.

According to an update, former president of the Rongmei Naga People’s Organisation (RNPO), G Namgai was the chief host for the day.

A new team of office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027 was also elected during the conference. The new team is led by Akhu Gangmei as president, Hunimang Pamei (vice president), GK Alphonse (general secretary) and Denis Kamei (joint secretary):

In his address, the outgoing president Chingkhiulung Gonmei expressed his gratitude to the council members and acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the team during his tenure.

Additionally, Kidongam Panmei, the outgoing general secretary, presented his secretary's report, summarising the council's accomplishments and activities over the past term.

The newly elected team pledged to continue their commitment to the growth and welfare of the Rongmei community in Nagaland.
