Dimapur, Sept 7 (EMN): A rockslide on National Highway – 29 (NH-29) at the Nagaland ‘Welcome Gate’ near Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge), Chümoukedima in Dimapur, affected vehicular movement on Monday.

The officer in-charge of traffic, Inspector Peter Shurya, informed this newspaper that they received information about the rockslide at around 4:45 pm on Monday.

He informed that one-way traffic has been restored at the affected site for the moment but ir would take time to completely clear the road as ‘the loose rocks were still sliding while clearing the road’.

However, he mentioned that road would be cleared by tonight (Monday night).

Dimapur police also took to Twitter to inform that ‘vehicle traffic has been partially restored at the rockslide affected area near Chathe River Bridge on NH-29’.
