Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): Road clearances have been undertaken at several locations in Wokha in the wake of major landslides on roadsides blocking the passage of vehicles. An update from the department of Information and Public Relations on Saturday informed that landslides clearances had been going on for the past one week in Baghty division under the supervision of executive engineer, Road & Bridges.
According to the updates, JCBs were deployed along with departmental staff to expedite the clearance.
The updates further mentioned that Doyang– Okotso road clearance started on August 2 and was supervised by junior engineer, Zanao.
Also, the IPR informed that during the clearance work along Sanis-Moilan road on August 3, the departmental staff personnel were assisted by village council members from the adjoining villages.
The updates informed that the works had been going on at Sanis-Moilan road under the supervision of the sub divisional officer M Simon Humtsoe.
In the updates, the executive engineer (R&B), Mhathung Kikon stated that clearance work along Sanis– Lakhuti–Akuk–Mekukla had started on August 4.
