A new road and footpath under Nagaland Forest Management Project inaugurated at Gwachonlo village in Tseminyu.

DIMAPUR — A road and footpath constructed under the Entry Point Activity (EPA) component of the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) at Gwachonlo village (Batch-IV) under Tseminyu was inaugurated on Saturday.
The inauguration was carried out by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kohima, and DMU Head, Dr. Sevono Seletsu, according to a press release.
Addressing the community members, Dr. Seletsu said the inauguration marked a milestone for the community. She appealed to the villagers to maintain the EPA with utmost care, as it had been created for the benefit of the entire community.
She also lauded the collaborative efforts of the village council members and the Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC), adding that the achievement under the project signified their unity. She further briefed on the project objectives and encouraged the villagers to take ownership of project activities to ensure success.

Thepfuruja Khing, village council member, and Loshubu Khing, GB, in their speeches, expressed gratitude towards the project for fulfilling the long-standing requirement of the community.
Earlier, pastor Ahyun S Kath of TBC offered the dedicatory prayer.
