Kohima, April 11 (EMN): State unit Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) has launched the first phase self defence martial arts training (2017-18) for teachers conducted by Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) at IG Stadium, Kohima. The training, which started on April 9, would conclude on April 12.
Speaking at the launching programme, RMSA mission director Limawabang hoped that the self defence training in Taekwondo would help and benefit the teachers, who would in turn teach the students across the state. He advised the teachers to be attentive during the course of the training.
He has advised the teachers to “Learn and work together” stating that there might be “advanced courses” in taekwondo in the near future. He urged upon the teachers to be prepared at all time to undergo such advanced training in future.
The mission director also thanked the NTA for taking the trouble to train the teachers under RMSA.
NTA president Pele Khezhie expressed gratitude to the RMSA for giving the opportunity to the association to train the basic techniques of taekwondo to the schools teachers in the state. He added that the NTA would wholeheartedly welcome the “teachers into the NTA family” so that they become the messiah and ambassador of the game on taekwondo in Nagaland.
Altogether 82 teachers from Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren and Wokha district are attending training session. NTA media cell informed that the second phase training for other districts would commence from April 17 to 22.
