Mokokchung, May 08 (EMN): Mokokchung unit of the Nagaland RMSA Teachers’ Association (NRMSATA) has lauded the outstanding performances of RMSA upgraded schools in Mokokchung district in the recently declared HSLC examinations.
An update from the association stated that as per reports, the preceding years showed a meagre 25% - 30% pass percentage. It, however, stated with the engagement of RMSA subject teachers in 2016 in 20 upgraded schools, it changed the fate of government schools with a record of improved HSLC results. According to an update, results in 2017 showed an improvement of 54%, while in 2018 it showed an improvement of 67.5% and in 2019 at 63%.
It mentioned that out of eight government schools that secured 100% pass percentage in the district in 2019, five schools were of RMSA upgraded schools. The schools included GHS Saring, GHS Dibuia, GHS Unger, GHS Khar and GHS Longjang.
Despite the grim reality of being unpaid for seven months and being imposed with downgraded salary, RMSA teachers have been consistently performing their duties well and the results are a testament of their dedication to the noble profession they have chosen, said NRMSATA Mokokchung convenor, Senkameren, and the general secretary, Imsuienla.
Mokokchung unit of RMSA congratulated the teachers for their efforts and hard work and urged upon them to continue working with the same zeal and commitment towards carrying out the mammoth task of educating the masses of the nation, the update stated.
