Kohima, April 26
Candidates who were selected as secondary teachers under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Nagaland have reminded the concerned authorities for the release of the 2nd and 3rd phase appointment orders within the stipulated time as assured by the state education minister and the chief secretary.
Mention may be made here that 111 candidates who were selected as secondary teachers under RMSA Nagaland launched an indefinite protest on April 8 last demanding their appointment orders which were allegedly overdue.
However, on April 12, they decided to suspend the agitation after they met the Education Minister and the Chief Secretary who reportedly assured them that the appointments will be done within the month of April.
The minister is said to have written to the RMSA mission director directing him to issue the appointment orders of the “111 graduate teachers waiting list against the post of Headmaster under RMSA post creation” within the month of April 2016 without further delay.
As a result, the candidates called off their stir but they informed that in the event there is no positive outcome within the stipulated date, they would resume their protest.
