Rajeshwari Karuna School in Tuli under Mokokchung district ranked among the top 20 national winners of the Wipro Earthian Sustainability Education Programme for Schools.
An update from the school authority informed that the school was selected out of 1200+ entries across the nation from among the themes on biodiversity, waste, and water management.
It stated that Rishad Premji, executive chairman of Wipro Ltd., and Anurag Behar, CEO of Azim Premji Foundation, felicitated the awardees on February 11 held in Bengaluru. The award ceremony from the school was attended by five students, and 1 teacher accompanied by the Earthian Sustainability Educator.
It mentioned that Wipro Earthian, now in its 11th year, has reached over 13000+ schools and 4000+ colleges since its inception. The core objective of the programme was to integrate sustainability education into the learning process through critical thinking and action thereby empowering change in their context and situation.
