Dimapur, Oct. 2 (EMN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Tuesday expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated in the state-wide mass cleanliness drive from Sep. 29 to Oct. 2 as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign coinciding with the 149th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
“The chief minister expressed hope that cleanliness will be maintained as a way of life and not only during campaigns. He exuberated confidence that all those who participated in the cleanliness drive would be inspired to continue the works in their respective areas and ensure greater participation of individuals in maintaining clean and green surroundings in the interest of public health and environmental protection,” a statement issued by the chief minister’s office read.
