Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio and Dy CM Y Patton meet Amit Shah, seeking support to fast-track State’s development aspirations

DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday. The meeting was announced on their respective X accounts.
While no detailed statement was released, Rio said that he and Dy CM Patton had called on the Union home minister “to request his intervention and support in fast-tracking Nagaland’s developmental aspirations.” He also expressed gratitude for Shah’s “continued guidance and support towards Nagaland’s progress and development.”
Patton added, “We had a meaningful discussion on matters concerning Nagaland, including the State’s development priorities and the welfare and aspirations of our people,” and thanked the Union home minister for “his time and continued attention towards Nagaland.”
