Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock sadness on learning about the sudden demise of Lhusileü Haralu who besides being a loving and caring mother, “possessed the quality of spreading cheer and warmth to all those who knew her.”
In a condolence message addressed to Bano Haralu, Rio said, “I had the opportunity to work closely with her during her assignment as a member of the Peace Mission in Nagaland. She had deep concern for the welfare of our people and the commitment for peace was her priority, which was demonstrated through her dedicated services till her death. At this juncture in the Naga history where people are yearning for peace as never before, it is tragic that a person dedicated to the cause like late Mrs. Haralu should leave us so suddenly.”
The message said that words are inadequate to express the sense of loss and bereavement on such an occasion, and the vacuum created by her demise will be difficult to fill. “Nevertheless her contributions will be remembered and I believe her works & dreams for a peaceful Nagaland will be fulfilled one day.”
“My family joins me in conveying our heartfelt condolence and it is our prayer that God almighty grant you courage & fortitude to bear this irrespirable loss,” Rio said.
NPC: Members of the Nagaland Peace Centre (NPC) has “deeply mourned” the sudden demise of Lhusi Haralu, Executive Director of Nagaland Peace Centre at her residence at Kitsübozou, Kohima on November 17 when the Nagaland Peace Centre was preparing to celebrate its Golden Jubilee. “It was a painful moment inside the premises of the office of the Nagaland Peace Centre when we gathered for installation of commemorative monolith celebrating Golden Jubilee on November 17 morning at 7 a.m. since the programme leader was late Lhusi Haralu.” The NPC message then said, “At her demise we lost a great leader and the vacuum created at her death will be difficult to fill in for generations to come. We found in her human values of love, honesty and dedication.
We painfully missed her. Her immense contribution to Nagaland Peace Centre will always be cherished and remembered”.
“We pray to Almighty God to grant solace to all the members of the bereaved family at this crucial time of grief and bereavement and pray for her soul to rest in eternal peace.”
ZB:The Zeliangrong Baudi (Hoho) Dimapur on behalf of Zeliangrong people of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland has expressed shock over the sudden demise of our beloved mother Lhusile Haralu .
ZB, Dimapur said Lhusi was Executive Director of Nagaland Peace Centre (NPC) and it was the most painful day to attend her funeral on November 17 the day she had invited all Naga people to attend Golden Jubilee Celebration Service on NPC in Kohima. “She was a prominent Zeliangrong mother whom we loved, admired and honoured as a true leader.”
According to ZB, Dimapur, Lhusi had burned and toiled with all her capacities to give a bright future to our Zeliangrong people and to help Nagas to become a Nation. “Words are not enough to express her selfless contributions to our Naga society.”
The Zeliangrong community will always cherish the inspirations and humanity service she had rendered to our Society in various fields. Her death has created a great vacuum in the Zeliangrong community in particular and Naga society in general, ZB added.
JSSN: Socio-educational NGO Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Nagaland executive committee has expressed deeply shock on sudden demise of one vetran social worker of Nagaland Respected Lhusi Haralu. According to the Samiti, Lhusi was gracious and dedicated her life for peace and social justice. She was a highly woman of quality for not only zeliangrong society and Nagaland state, moreover she was the asset of our country Bharat. She always motivated the people how to fight for peace and social justice. Really, she was the one pillar of motivation within women of Nagaland in the field of peace and social justice, the Samiti said.
