Dimapur, Feb. 12: Taking note of the turbulence in the State over the conduct of Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections and tug of war between the State government and civil societies, Nagaland Governor P. B. Acharya on Saturday invited the lone Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio who is also the former chief minister to discuss about the state of affairs.
As per reliable sources, the Chief Minister T.R.Zeliang was also called for the meeting wherein the three discussed on matters pertaining the current impasse.
The appeal made by the four legislators Kropol Vitsu, Noke Wangnao, CM Chang and Namri Nchang for revoking MP Neiphiu Rio and MLA Imkong L Imchen's suspension were also discussed.
Sources also confirmed that, Rio has been called by the centre and will be heading to Delhi tomorrow, February 13 to meet the central leaders besides the Union Home Minister.
