Rio donates hearse to Nagaland Red Cross Society

Dimapur, April 7 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister and vice president of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN), Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday donated one hearse to Nagaland Red Cross Society in an informal programme held at Chief Minister's new residential office in Kohima.

A press release from Dr. Neiphi Kire, the general secretary of IRCSN stated that Rio handed over the key to Abeni TCK, the chairperson of the society. Acknowledging the generous contribution of the chief minister, it stated that after a gap of almost two years, “it would once again continue the service to transport dead bodies in the most difficult situations which was in high demand by the public”.

While handing over the key, the chief minister said "to take good care of the vehicle and help the public", it read.

It informed that the function was attended by the managing committee members of the society and dignitaries from chief minister's office.
