Red Light Passengers: Red Light Passengers is a pop/rock band formed in July 2012. The band believes in the positive change music can bring. So the name Red Light Passengers symbolises that life is a messy journey, often times we get lost in the chaos without the red light. EASTERN MIRROR: How do you describe your music to people new to you? Red Light Passengers: We just tell them, we are a pop/rock band with the aim of spreading positive message. And also go checkup our songs on Youtube, Facebook, Indihut, Reverberation, Soundcloud. What are the contributions that each of you make? Red Light Passengers: Yes, we do write our own songs and they are written by Thotmung, our vocalist. He presents it to the band and we as a band work on our own parts. EASTERN MIRROR: What are the main themes or topics that you cover? Red Light Passengers: There’s just too much of negativity in today’s society and all we want is to spread the positive message of peace, love and unity. EASTERN MIRROR: Working as a group is not easy especially when each individual has different ideas and taste. How do you work it out? Any issues you have faced initially? Red Light Passengers: Yes that’s true. We all have our own t \astes and differences but one thing we agreed upon when we first began was to keep our music simple yet attractive. This is our understanding among ourselves and we are keeping it that way. EASTERN MIRROR: How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together? [caption id="attachment_73827" align="alignright" width="513"]red-light-passengers red-light-passengers[/caption] Red Light Passengers: We started as pop/punk rock band and now we have evolved to pop/rock band. We still love punk but we are happy where we are and we are also open to trying out other genres but whatever it is, our theme and purpose will remain the same.   EASTERN MIRROR: What’s your ultimate direction for your band? Red Light Passengers: Our ultimate direction as a band of course is to be heard, that people young and old are impacted by our music and the positive message we are spreading. It’s a long way to go but we are glad that atleast we have started somewhere.
