  • Dreaming big is the best thing you can do for yourself, says Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha


  • KOHIMA — Reigning Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha, who is currently in Nagaland to attend the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 as guest, noted that pageantry is all about bringing change in the society, create awareness, and to have voice for the voiceless.


  • The grand finale for Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 is scheduled to be on June 10 (Tuesday), at RCEMPA Jotsoma from 5:30 pm onwards.

  • On her arrival at the state capital on Monday, she addressed a press conference at Hotel Vivor in Kohima along with Amjad Khan, Director of Franchise Operations, Miss Universe India and the executives of Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), the main organiser of the event.

  • For Singha, who started pageantry at a young age of 15, whatever she saw and heard became a part of her, and she credits the experience for building her the confidence in herself.

  • She also shared that she is embarking on career in Bollywood and have already started working in it. The first thing that one really requires in the entertainment industry and pageantry is the confidence.

  • She emphasised on dreaming big and added that is the "best thing you can do for yourself".

Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha arrives in Nagaland


  • She believes that as a society, everyone needs to come together and help the girls make their dream a reality and not just an imagination.

  • In her message to the contestants, she advised them "not have any apprehensions on being open" but be their authentic self.

  • She further applauded the growing awareness and positive evolution of pageantry, particularly in regions like Nagaland, where organisations and government are actively promoting it. She addressed the misconception that pageantry is solely about appearance, stating that it has evolved into a platform focused on social contribution and impact.

  • Amjad Khan, the director of Franchise Operations, Miss Universe India, said that they have started their journey in March where the first pageant was held in Uttar Pradesh.

  • The association with the BASN has been a long-term association, even prior to the franchisee for Miss Universe. On this, he said, they have a lot of expectation from BASN and look forward to the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 event.

  • He added that they have made it easy for the girls to participate in beauty pageant by bringing it into the state instead of having them come to Metro cities and give auditions. They can now participate in their respective states pageants. With that opportunity, he hopes that more number of participants would come forward in the future.

  • A total of 14 contestants will be competing for the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 title.
