Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): The Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Pentecost’s day of prayer programme concluded on May 20 at Trinitarian spot in Gariphema village. The theme for the programme was ‘receive the Holy spirit.’ Updates on Sunday informed about the programme. Senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church of Kohima, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo was the speaker at the culminating service, with the message being interpreted by Keviyie Khana. The speaker in his message remarked, ‘to be a spiritual man, you have to be a disciple.’ Further, he said that despising the Holy Spirit will draw one away from the light.
Kiewhuo observed, ‘using spiritual gifts does not determine spiritual maturity’ but the holiness in life allows the Holy Spirit to be pleased residing in you.’ He called upon the churches to ignite and pass on the ‘revival fire’ which he stated was like a ‘rally race’ passed on to the present generation by forefathers through their tearful prayers.
The press release stated that the pentecost day of prayer meeting is an annual event of the Nagaland christian Revivals. The event is conducted usually at the Trinitarian spot which is historically marked as the first place of the Holy Spirit visitation .
Further; it claimed that over one thousand congregation and 69 revival churches across Nagaland attended the three day prayer meeting.
The service was presided by Jt. Secretary Angami Christian Revival Church Council Keneiselhou Solo, while choir of NCRC Chesezu and NCRC Gariphema presented special praise. The praise and worship team was led by Thejanuo Kets.
Chairman ACRCC Khriezetuo Keretsü ministered the Lord’s supper and water baptism was given to the believers on Sunday. He was also stated to have been on of the speaker during the programme.
