A Christian event called the ‘transformation crusade’ was held in Phek with the theme “Arise and shine’ recently. The crusade started on February 4 at Phek town’s local ground. Transformation Crusade will continue till Sunday night. The program starts at 5pm.
The crusade was organized by Phek Town Churches Pastors’ Fellowship involving all denominations and churches ‘with the active support from the administration, police, Assam Rifles, governments departments and public,’ a press release form the organizers informed on Friday, February 5.
According to the press release, about 25 persons were healed from various sicknesses during the program. They included a person who has a hearing problem for more than 2 years. Others where were healed suffered from various ailments such as heart problems, multiple arthritis, chronic gastric, and sinus, and breathing problem, etc. Many gave their life to Christ the saviour too, the press release said.
Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo the main speaker of the crusade shared on the topic “Looking Unto Jesus”. Quoting Hebrews 12: 1-2. “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witness, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (KJV),” the press release quoted.
“Don’t think of yourself, your problems, your sickness, etc. but look unto God, and you will be free of all your troubles. He also talk of Psalms 148 where the Heavens and Earth, everything on it Praises the Lord.”
The press release informed that the message continued based on John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
“Jesus died on the cross cleansing all your sins, and this is due to his love, the press release said quoting the speaker. “Jesus came into this world to save sinners. Now you are His. By giving your life to God your life will become new, because God has already bought you by His blood.”
