Reproduced below is the message of late IsakChishiSwu to the Naga people on the 19th of June 2010.
“Naga people have been destined to live together as a nation for the glory of God. Unity and integrity of Nagalim is the will of God. Naga reconciliation is a call from God. I would, therefore, request all the Naga people to answer the call in Christ for his glory.
The National Socialist Council of Nagalim is sincerely committed to Naga Reconciliation as we have solemnly proclaimed it on 13th January 2007. We will leave no stone unturned to find forgiveness and reconciliation in Christ for the blessing of our people today and tomorrow.
There is a right time for everything, and now is that right time for the Nagas to be reconciled with one another. But the enemy as well as the devil do not like to see the Nagas coming together for their common future. Therefore, we must stand firm together on the side of God and on the side of Nagalim, because we cannot afford to miss this opportunity. Those who waver or doubt themselves for this historic reconciliation will regret the most in future.
I further assure you all that we, the collective Leadership, Th. Muivah and I are sincerely committed to the reconciliation process and we shall stand as one for the righteous cause of our nation to the end. May the good God bless and guide our General Secretary Th. Muivah as he continues the journey of peace and reconciliation to all parts of Nagalim.
I, therefore, urge all the Naga people to fully commit to the process of Reconciliation in Christ for the sake of peace, unity and integration of Nagalim.” (Unquote). For the Naga people, the quest for identity, history, and recognition is much like religion. IsakChishiSwu was a religious man, unwavering in his faith, and could prophetically read the times. He always spoke of the Nagas in the singular. He always spoke of oneness, of unity. He always said that Nagas as a people must come together by studying the teachings of Jesus Christ. That, when Jesus Christ walked upon the earth he spoke of building his church when he said. “I will build my church” in Matt. 16:18. Jesus always spoke of the church in the singular.
IsakChishiSwu always took pains to explain why division is so wrong for the Nagas. In one of his messages in the form of a booklet, he urges the readers to meditate on John 17: 20,21 where Jesus, just before crucifixion , is seen praying for his apostles, and then he said, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” Christ prayed that all believers for all time might be one, and that they might be one to the degree that he and the father are one, in order that the world might believe that God sent him as his son. The message went on to exhort about how Christ pledged and prayed for unity, but Satan brought about chaos and division, and that, the study of church history today has become primarily the study of the fractioning off of the various churches. At first there was one, then a few, then many. The booklet then quoted John R. Mott who said, “The price that has been paid for a divided Christiandom is an unbelieving world.”
The best tribute that we can pay to late IsakChishiSwu is to take his passing away as a catalyst to bring forth reconciliation, brotherhood, and unity, and thereafter, a common salvation. IsakChishiSwu talks about this salvation in his booklet titled “Golden Mounts”(first print:2004) which is all about his preaching activities in Eastern Nagalim, which was a one time base-area of the NSCN. In his own words, (quote) “ God created the universe, and apportioned to every tribe and nation their own share. He favored the Naga people with profound resources of all kinds. We believe that God preserves this golden mountain from the time of creation for the Nagas to be their inheritance. This particular area of Nagalim has been out of reach of all kinds of civilization. Therefore, the people maintained the traditional norm predominantly. Unfortunately, they could not realize the most important thing they needed which is the message of salvation in Jesus Christ.”(unquote).
This salvation is a common salvation. It is the common salvation because it equally belongs to Jews and Gentiles. There was a time when even the apostles did not believe that this salvation belonged to anyone except the Jews. God caused a miracle to occur in the case of Cornelius as is recorded in Acts chapter 10, to convince the apostle Peter that the gospel was for the Gentiles as well as for the Jews , and that, God was not a respecter of persons. We realize from this that no matter where a man lives and no matter what the colour of his skin may be, he has a right to be a Christian and to enjoy the blessings from God’s scheme of redemption. IsakChishiSwu lived and died for this salvation. Let us, in true spirit, honor him by committing ourselves fully to the process of Reconciliation in Christ for the sake of peace, unity and integration of Nagalim.”
