PenThrill has published the revised edition of People Stories: Volume One, documenting Naga oral narratives and heritage.

DIMAPUR — A revised edition of "People Stories: Volume One", written by Avinuo Kire and Dr. Meneno Vamuzo Rhakho, has been published by PenThrill as its 117th publication with the objective of systematically tracing, recording, collecting, and documenting Naga oral narratives.
According to an update, the book is an initiative of the Naga Heritage Centre with "stories gathered from various sources, including stories, history, legends, folktales and traditional teachings which contain keys to knowledge of our past, our history, our ecosystem, and the rich intangible cultural heritage".
The book was first published under the imprint of PenThrill in April 2016 and formally released by former Chief Minister of Nagaland Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and former minister Deo Nukhu.
The revised edition of the book contains a fresh cover that includes a photograph by Longri Kichu.

Avinuo Kire is the author of five books and has also contributed to various literary journals and leading national magazines. Her stories have been featured in several edited anthologies, including "A Case of Indian Marvels: Dazzling Stories from the Country’s Finest New Writers" (Aleph), "100 Indian Stories: A Feast of Remarkable Short Fiction from the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries" (Aleph), and others.
She currently shuttles her time between Kohima and Thimphu, Bhutan, while she works on her next book.
Currently, she works at the State Hub for Empowerment of Women, Nagaland. She also serves as a member of the Chokri Chakhesang (Naga) Literature Board.
