Altogether 59 theologians today graduated from Kohima Bible College (KBC). The graduation ceremony was held today in the chapel hall of KBC.
Out of 59, 27 completed the Master of Divinity, including three extension course, while 32 finished their Bachelor of Theology. In his address, Senior Pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao maintained that Nagaland needs a radical change through a major revival. Maintaining that the declaration ‘Nagaland for Christ’ has become a mockery, he emphasised on the need for theologians to work towards reverting to its truest sense and make Nagaland a nation for the Lord.
Exhorting the theologians from the book of I Timothy 3:1-5 to go out to the world and save souls with positive attitude, he said youngsters should come forward to bring the change in the Naga society. He encouraged them to be thorough with the Gospel and make the Lord their banner. “Go out with positive attitude, determination and also resolve not to be shaken by anything,” he said.
Rev. Phesao also urged them to make God their centre of life and follow Him. Expressing that it is easy to be spiritually strong within the Bible college but once out you will be alone, he called upon the theologians to prepare themselves spiritually. This is the divine calling to serve the Lord and you should be the conquerors without turning back.
Principal of KBC, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo presented the degrees to the Class of 2015 Graduates while KBC President Abeiü Neihulie handed over the awards.
