Restricted drugs seized in Wokha

[caption id="attachment_248975" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Officials from Wokha district administration, police personnel and medical department along with the seized ‘restricted drugs’ in Wokha town on May 14.[/caption] Dimapur, May 14 (EMN): Wokha district police personnel along with the district administration and medical department led by SDPO, Wokha, Imkongsangba Jamir, conducted raid at several pharmacies on May 14 in Wokha town and seized huge quantities of “restricted drugs.” A DIPR report stated that huge quantities of ‘restricted drugs’ were seized from seven pharmacies as it falls under ‘Restricted Drug (Scheduled H). Later, a joint meeting was held with the proprietors/ owners of the pharmacies, wherein the defaulters were warned and directed to maintain all necessary records and stock items as per the Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940. The seized drugs were destroyed in the presence of police, administration staff, and medical department.
