Wokha, April 29:A group of philanthropic residents from Wokha town’s ward-4 have commenced working on a yearlong plan of ‘white topping’ an entire stretch of a road in their area through every household’s financial and physical contribution. The group consist of residents from Midland, Suren, and New colony in the town.
More than 60 volunteers were seen contributing their effort to said work on Saturday. A 95 years old citizen Khochamo Ngullie was the oldest among the volunteers.
It was informed that the residents of ward-4 had been working from the past years repairing and maintaining the road on their own.
