Dimapur, March 10 (EMN): An adult male leopard was rescued from Wameken valley near Tuli town in Mokokchung district on March 9 by workers from the Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP).
A press release from the zoo's officials on Saturday informed that the leopard ‘is a healthy adult male and presently kept in the confinement facility of the zoo.’ It was informed that the rescue team included a deputy ranger, the zoo's veterinarian, and ‘a support staff of zookeepers.’
The NZP's authorities thanked the director of the Community Educational Centre Society, the officer in charge of Tuli police station, and ‘all the persons involved during the safe and timely conduct of this rescue mission.’
