Dimapur, Jan. 22 (EMN): The Republican Party of India (A) has announced its ‘participation’ in the forthcoming elections to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. This was stated in a press release from the party a copy of which was issued to the media on Mon.
“The newly formed party in Nagaland took decision to take part in the forthcoming general election 2018 by setting up candidates,” the press release stated.
The party has invited all like-minded people to join hands ‘to strengthen the party, fight against rampant corruption and work for the development for society in particular and state in general.’
The central team of the Republican Party of India (A) team led by the observer of Northeast Vinod Nikalje and chief convener for Northeast Hitish Deori visited Nagaland state on Jan. 21, a press release informed.
The visiting had a meeting with appointed office bearers of the state and like-minded people from across the state, it informed.
The meeting is stated to have discussed on the issues relating to the forth coming general election.
“The party strive for the uplift of minorities socially, economically and politically,” it added.
The Republican Party of India (A) is a centrally registered party of India under the leadership of Ramdas Athavale, minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and national president of the Republican Party of India, a press release stated.
