‘Replay’ hitmaker Iyaz to perform at Ahibi Fest 2025 in Nagaland today

DIMAPUR — Iyaz, the world-renowned artiste behind the global hit “Replay,” along with some of Nagaland’s most celebrated local talents, is all set to deliver an unforgettable night of music and entertainment at Ahibi Fest 2025, scheduled to be held at Agri Expo, Dimapur, on October 17 (Friday).

The announcement was made during a press conference held at Zone Niathu by The Park, Chümoukedima, on Friday, where Festival Director Kakivi Chishi shared that the festival gates will open at 1 pm., kicking off an afternoon filled with energy, excitement, and vibrant activities leading up to the main event.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of food stalls and live performances by busking artistes from 1 pm to 5 pm., followed by the main show starting at 5:30 pm, he shared.

Expressing excitement for the upcoming event, Chishi shared that they believe Ahibi Fest will redefine the music landscape of Nagaland, with Iyaz as their very first headliner creating a history.

While interacting with media persons the show headliner, Iyaz, world-renowned artiste best known for his global hit “Replay,” expressed his excitement ahead of the event, saying, “I’m really excited and first time up here” while expressing that during his visit in Shillong about a month ago, he learnt that the people from this region have so much love, respect, and support. He wishes to experience the same at Ahibi Fest 2025.

He went on to say that this isn’t just about watching them perform but it is also about being part of making history together, to share good vibes, great music, and just enjoy each other’s company.

When asked about collaborating and working with Naga artistes, Iyaz shared that he is always open to creative partnerships, saying, “No matter where you are or which part of the country you’re from, I’m definitely open to collaborations with artistes.”

He mentioned that this is his first time in Nagaland, and he is always excited to visit new places as they never know what to expect, and that’s what makes it special and added that he love trying new things, meeting new people, and performing for different crowds all over the world.

Reflecting on his journey, Iyaz said, when he started making music, he dreamt to have his songs heard in every corner of the planet and now that it’s happening, it’s truly an honour to be performing in Nagaland.

When asked what kind of performance fans can expect at the Agri- Expo tomorrow, especially addressing concerns about lip-syncing, Iyaz responded confidently, “You’ll have to come and see for yourself” and added that his show will be full of high energy and character and promise that the crowd will not be disappointed.
