- DIMAPUR — In a
momentous occasion marked by community pride and collective effort, the newly
renovated Sumi Aphuyemi Rest House at Zunheboto district headquarters was
inaugurated on Friday by Dr. Sükhato A Sema, MLA.
- According to a DIPR report, the event was held in the
presence of Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, various officials, and a
host of Sumi stakeholders.

- The inaugural ceremony began with the unveiling of the
commemorative plaque by Dr. Sükhato, the special guest for the event.
- In his address, Dr. Sükhato expressed appreciation for the
unity and commitment demonstrated by all 24 Sumi Aphuyemi villages, whose
contributions through a one-day wage collection made the dream of the rest
house a reality. He also acknowledged the efforts of the “past seven visionary
MLAs who laid the groundwork for today’s achievement.”
- He highlighted a ‘Visionary road map’ for Pughoboto area
with a focus on improving connectivity to the district headquarters.
- The MLA also underscored key developmental priorities
including the medical and education sectors, calling for enhanced collaboration
among Sumi stakeholders and the district administration to leverage various
centrally-sponsored schemes.
