Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) officials undertook touring and inspection of schools under Tseminyu sub-division from May 23 to June 15. A press release from the union informed on Wednesday.
The union officials held interactions with the school head teachers, teaching staffs and students. The officials queried whether the schools are getting textbooks, uniform, school grants, and other facilities on time. The union also take note of the grievances made by the schools.
During the inspection, RSU officials found that proxy teaching is being practised in few schools. The union has noted with regret that such mal-practices are still continuing despite repeated reminders and warnings. Stating that it had collected names of those teachers, the union has decided to take up the issue with the higher authority for necessary action.
Meanwhile, RSU president Kisheto Kent and the education and statistical secretary Ziya Kath have appreciated those dedicated teachers for their efforts in rendering their service towards the development and welfare of the students.
