DIMAPUR — The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has drawn the attention of the concerned contractor and the Urban Development Department to issues arising from the ongoing construction of the Circular Road from National Highway-2 to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu.
In a press statement, the RSZ acknowledged that the construction of the Circular Road, initiated after more than a decade, is a significant project that will benefit residents, pedestrians, students, and office-goers, while addressing dust pollution and deplorable road conditions.
However, the RSZ stated that it expects the construction work to be carried out strictly in accordance with approved departmental specifications and the Detailed Project Report (DPR), ensuring quality, durability, and proper engineering standards.
“As this road is a vital public utility, any compromise in workmanship will be viewed seriously, and RSZ will take all necessary steps should deviations be observed,” the statement read.
