Dimapur, Feb. 1: Standing on its January 23, 2017 resolution to boycott the ULB elections, the Rengma Hoho held a meeting on January 30 last at Rengma Hoho office, Tseminyu town with the intending candidates to Tseminyu Town Council. A press release from the Rengma Hoho on Wednesday stated that 14 candidates have forfeited their candidature.
“However, at the non-compliance and defying by the few individual candidates who didn’t forfeit their candidature much against the decision of the Rengma’s interest, the Rengma Hoho has resolved to ban the following individuals from holding any public offices and responsibilities in particular to Town Council within the Rengma community:
1. Shalo Kemp S/o Kenyuseng Kemp of Sendenyu Village (NPF).
2. Khwenzenlo Magh S/o Chengato Magh of Tesophenyu Village (NPF).
3. Rosaline Seb W/o Ruchuyhun Seb of Tesophenyu Village (NPF).
4. James Tep S/o Ketsinga Tep of Tesophenyu Village (NPF).
5. Jehile Magh W/o Penthonlo Magh of Nsunyu Village (NPF).
6. Kenyusinlo Himb S/o Hilo Himb of Phenshunyu Village (NPF).
7. Kenyele Kez W/o Obed Kez of Kandinu Village (NPF).
