Our great God in His wonderful plan had given a precious soul, late Bro-Samuel Sekhose to the Nagas whose godly and humble life make major strides to mould and change the lives of many young people in Nagaland mainly the Pentecostal families. Born to Late Dr. S. A Sasiekuo Sekhose & Late Mother Amina Sekhose the 5th son among the 14th children of their parents.
After the outpouring of Holy Spirit and Revival in Nagaland 1960’s, his father Dr. Sasiekuo along with some prayer mothers like Heiriateile (Neiyiechu) Liegise w/o Lt.Vitsonyu Liegise Zeliang, mother Panuo Sekhose mother of Mr. Keduorhilie Sekhose, mother Puno Peseyie mother of Mr. K. Peseyie, mother Daya Lotha mother of Mr Khyomo Lotha (Ex-MP), Mother Diezienuo Kire mother of Mr. Roko Kire and grandmother in Law of Dr.Er.Vikuotuolie Angami, mother Neivono mother of Lt. Sister Ahuno and father Dosayi & Pucho Chekshang and others pioneered the Pentecostal Mission in Nagaland. By the grace of God and through the prayers of the saints, the Lord vineyards now has two(2) centre in Kohima and Dimapur looking after the mission works of Nagaland, Manipur, part of Assam & Arunachal Pradesh. On 25th Feb’2016, when I heard his sudden demise, I knew he had gone to be with the Lord. Heaven will be rejoicing for a precious jewel is added into its kingdom, though his departure it is a great loss to the family and the TMP church in particular. Bro Samuel is my most admired co-believer I have ever met, among my contemporary Christians friends. God designated the most lovely and pious sister Atoholi Sekhose D/o Mr. Tokheho Sema (Ex-Minister) to be his wife and their family is a source of great blessing to the TPM youth Ministry in Dimapur.
Their home echoes the vibrations of a prayer centre and is like a faith home. They lived a life dedicated and committed to the Lord, reflecting the beauty of Jesus in every moment of the life of Bro Samuel’s family. He usually get up early morning and pray for the saints, believers and for the salvation of all men. Words cannot express how he cares for the poor and love the old people. Their children from the eldest daughter (now in the ministry)… to the youngest son stood firm in faith unlike their parents. Towards his last days of life in this world, God tested him with a sickness, but he boldly stood for divine healing standing with the saints of this great Apostolic truth. Looking at his life from the time I met him till his demise, I have seen one of the greatest believer reinforcing faith among my fellow brethren. As Paul said in II Tim 4:7…“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”…he lived in faith and died in faith which was once delivered unto us by the saints of God.
Bro, Samuel was a strong pillar to the Church, to the youth he was like a father, a guardian, a true brother, in prayers & fasting program, his presence make many people presence in the meeting. He stood for the truth, he always speaks the truth, his toiled and labour for the truth, his only aim was to bring young people at the feet of Jesus. He had a great zeal for the youth ministry. By the grace of God and through the prayers of the saints, many youth with whom he had started the youth ministry in our TPM Church Dimapur had joined the ‘Saints of God’ to serve the Lord in the apostolic ministry.
I remember once a young boy Late. Bro. Akangbe from our church was going astray, he convinced him, digged out his pocket and gave him money to take water Baptism and that brother got saved though he is no more with us today. In Oct’2011, I invited him to be speaker for Poilwa Youth seminar where he gave a paper presentation on the topic, “near future predictions and end times warning” with quotes and commentaries Bible references of what will happen to this world before and after the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ was well received and created a great impact. This message was like a thundering voice from heaven to the youth and till date many young people are reading his presentation to save the thirsty soul into the kingdom of God. He spoke about the 21st century what it means to be, on the millennial empire of Jesus Christ (1000 years future), formation of the state of Israel, the present world system & new world order, World Council of Churches (WCC),the Bio-chip, universal up heavals , trends since 1986, end times, global warming, pole-shift or geo-magnetic reversal, weakening of heliosphere and the greatest deception like UFOs, SETI, fiction movies, T.V. prom etc giving challenges to the youth.
To quote the conclusion of his message in Bible reference are; Isaih 24:20 MT, 24:29,21.. “the earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard…” (the geo-magnetic reversal / pole shift)… “the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light.. The powers of the heavens shall be shaken” (Solar-system crossing the galactic equinox or the Dark rift). “for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor shall ever be”.. these are some examples he spoke changing the mind and hearts of many young dying soul in the seminar.
Bro. Samuel, he was a carpenter for new souls, a counselor for the sick and needy people, a Bible scientist for revelation of the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ and end times, a musician for the church where he one day testified that the Lord alone taught him music. When the Church service began he will be the first group to be found in church, found in sick home, found in places of mourning. Truly he is a child of God, though he is no more with us today, we the TPM Youth and the church as a whole will continue to remember the inspirations, the good work and Samaritan services he did for us. He burned and toiled with devotion – wholeheartedly for his people and co- believers, a gift which we can never pay him back but our Lord will surely reward him in hundred folds. I have found a true friend of Jesus and a real Pentecost in the life of Bro. Samuel. His demise has created great vacuum in our society but it is our prayer that the Lord will raise up 1000 souls like him in Nagaland to do his Glorious Ministry.
Praise the Lord.
