Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): Reguri village in Phek district has appealed to all the Naga political groups not to enrol, harbour, protect or support Whupiru Jackson in any manner alleging him of creating problem in the village. The appealed was made in a joint consultative meeting of the village council, youth organisation and Reguri Students’ Union on May 26 following the recent upheaval in the village. In the meeting, the house agreed to address the root cause of the problem to avoid further deterioration of the situation in the village. In a joint statement, RSU president Luthsuchu Trakgha, RYO president K Lisiru Pfithu, and head GB cum caretaker of Reguri village council Zhutichu Chaghathu have accused Whupiru Jackson, who was expelled from NSCN  of creating misunderstanding among the villagers. The statement has termed him as a habitual defector from one faction to another, who brought shame and misery to its denizens by threatening village leaders of dire consequences. It also accused him of interfering in the village council elections with a dictatorial character taking advantage of the rank he held. Since he continues with the attitude of threatening and tarnishing the image of the village, the people of Reguri appealed to all the Naga political groups not to enrol, harbour, protect or support him in any manner. It added that Reguri village as a whole would not cooperate with any group who accommodate him.
