KOHIMA — The department of School Education on Friday informed that it is not in a position to announce a specific date for service regularisation, as demanded by the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG), 2015 batch.
Responding to a letter from ANATG addressed to the commissioner and secretary of School Education and SCERT, the department stated that the proposals put forward by teachers had been “carefully examined.”
While assuring that all efforts are being made to facilitate and expedite completion of formalities for regularisation of ad hoc and contractual employees, it maintained that the process must adhere to all government procedures and statutory requirements.

“Therefore, the department will not be in a position to give a specific date for service regularisation,” the letter read.
The department further requested the teachers not to resume the suspended hunger strike or resort to any other form of protest since the agencies and departments concerned have already initiated the regularisation process.
Meanwhile, the department acknowledged the ANATG’s proposal for deputation of 10 members from the group to assist in documentation and sorting of records related to service regularisation.
It requested that the names and details of the selected teachers be furnished to the department for further action.
