Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) on Thursday appealed to the Nagaland government to ‘refrain from undemocratic practices,’ in reference to the directive which mandates educational institutions to give admissions to students or attend offline classes only after taking the Covid-19 vaccine.
In a letter addressed to the chief secretary of Nagaland, ANCSU appreciated the government’s efforts to combat the pandemic, but noted that ‘compromising students' academic value at the cause of education is irrational.’

It said that no student should be forced to take vaccines, and that it should be one’s individual choice. “ANCSU is confident that your authority will take the matter on priority and introduce standard measures to tackle the situation which does not compromise quality of education but ensure meritocracy,” it read.
