- DIMAPUR — The 4th
Referee Recruitment Course concluded on February 14 at Medziphema.
- It was organised under the banner of the Nagaland Football
Association (NFA) and in collaboration with the All India Football Federation
(AIFF), stated an update. The edition of the Referee Recruitment Course 2025
was hosted by the Chümoukedima District Football Referee Board.
- The course was conducted by Joychandra Singh, referee
instructor at AIFF, and assisted by Medozevi Punyü, referee instructor (C
category) at AIFF.
- A total of 33 men and 6 women from Peren (10), Tseminyu (2),
Tuensang (4), Wokha (5), Phek (1), Zunheboto (2), Chümoukedima (7), Kiphire
(2), Dimapur (1), Noklak (2), Longleng (1), and Meluri (2) participated in the
five-day event.
- Building the next generation of well-trained and
professional referees for the upliftment of football was the main motif. The
course included theory classes, physical tests, practical sessions, and a viva
voce.
- The closing programme was attended by Sunep Ao, joint
secretary of NFA, and Kutu Sekhose, head of referees at NFA.
