Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): Governor RN Ravi asserted that the Nagaland branch of Indian Red Cross Society remains committed towards the cause of humanity and its effort to make lives better.
The Raj Bhavan issued a statement from the governor on the occasion of World Red Cross Day, which falls on May 8.
“The theme for this year World Red Cross Day, ‘Keep clapping for volunteers’, is for everyone who has been relentlessly working on the frontline to prevent and respond to Covid-19. When the whole country is facing the wrath of deadly Covid-19, humanitarian organisation Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland is tirelessly working in tandem with the local authorities for the aid of needy, remotely placed and stranded people. I am sure the IRCS Nagaland working hand in hand with the administration will meet the challenges of this pandemic situation,” he said.
Ravi extended best wishes to all the volunteers and Red Cross staff “who go out rendering selfless humanitarian services and saving lives every day”.
