Dimaur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Officers and staff of the department of rural development celebrated advent Christmas in its conference hall on December 13.
In his Christmas greeting, RD commissioner and secretary, Bendangkokba, urged upon all to have the spirit of Christ and be humble while celebrating the birth of Christ.
Stating that God has given life and blessed them throughout the year from January till the last month of the year, he called upon them to be grateful and give thanks to the Lord for the many blessing.
Speaking on the importance of department gathering, RD director Imlimeren Jamir maintained that times like this could create platform to know each other better as it breaks down the hierarchical barrier. He said it is an excellent time to interact among themselves so as to foster an environment that promotes an atmosphere of warmth and oneness as fellow workers.
The celebration was marked by offering for Orphanage Home, lucky dip, sharing Christmas blessings and Christmas feast. The programme was chaired by the joint director, K Neibou Sekhose.
