Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Wokha District Health Society organised a health camp on Reproductive Child Health (RCH) at N Longidang village in Wokha district on October 15.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Dr. CW Tungoe, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Wokha, emphasised on the importance of undergoing regular health check-up. An update from the CMO, Wokha, stated that Tungoe has urged the beneficiaries to avail Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) scheme.
It stated that health talks on the importance of using iodine salt and RBSK were delivered by medical officers.
The release also stated that more than 161 beneficiaries had availed free health check-up, lab test on blood sugar, haemoglobin, malaria and 11 Copper T insertions. Other activities such as free distribution of medicines and distribution of Information Education Communication materials on breastfeeding, immunisation, NCD and pregnancy care were also carried out.
Besides the CMO, DIO, Deputy CMO, ZLO, MOs and staffs of medical department were present during the health camp.
Longtsuman, village chairman of N Longidang, has thanked the medical department for organising the camp.
