- DIMAPUR — The
Rengma Cultural and Film Society Limited (RCFSL) met the Governor of Nagaland,
La Ganesan, at the Police Complex, Chümoukedima, on March 31 to discuss their
upcoming project, "A Documentary on Rengma History, Culture, and Tradition”.
- According to an update on the occasion, RCFSL president A
Shyerhunlo Lorin introduced the Rengma Cultural and Film Society and its
members to the governor, and Aga Rengma then presented a detailed report on
their upcoming documentary, emphasising the importance of preserving the rich
culture and traditions of their people through literature and motion pictures.
- The governor was apprised of its past activities, including
the beautification of Raj Bhavan, Kohima, with indigenous art and sculptures,
an effort to promote and celebrate their heritage.
- The release said that Ganesan acknowledged their work in
preserving and promoting Naga culture and assured them of his support in
whatever way he could. They also sought his guidance in navigating government
agencies and schemes that could help strengthen their initiatives.
- It noted that the meeting ended on a warm and positive note,
with Aga Rengma delivering a vote of thanks to the governor for his time,
encouragement, and valuable suggestions.
