Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Guwahati division, conducted financial literacy programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero, in Phek district on August 20.
Resource persons namely Gautam Dhar, Assistant General Manager RBI, and Amitabh Pande, Manager RBI, spoke on different aspects of financial management and stressed on the need for adequate awareness. Dhar shared about different types of bank accounts and functions of the bank, while Pande spoke on bank and currency security system.
The school, in a press release, stated that students and teachers were educated on the different nature of bank security system. The programme was attended by the students and teachers of the school, which was coordinated by W Onisimus, branch manager SBI Pfutsero.
Later, the resource persons conducted quiz session after the programme and distributed gift hampers to the students. RBI also donated one computer set to the school.
