Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): Governor-designate of Nagaland RN Ravi arrived at the Raj Bhavan, Kohima along with his family on Friday, a day ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.
Ravi, who is also the interlocutor for Indo-Naga peace talks, will be sworn in as the Governor of Nagaland at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima at 11 am today. He will be administered the oath of office by Chief Justice (Acting), Gauhati High Court, Arup Kumar Goswami.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton, ministers, advisors and senior officers of the State government led by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, IAS, received Ravi and his family on his arrival in Kohima, informed an update from PRO, Raj Bhavan. Nagaland police accorded him general salute at the Raj Bhavan courtyard on his arrival.
Earlier in the day, Ravi was received at the Dimapur airport by Minister of Agriculture & Cooperation G Kaito Aye, Minister of PHE Jacob Zhimomi, Commissioner of Nagaland M Patton, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Commissioner of Police Dimapur Limasunep Jamir and others, said the update. He was also accorded a warm reception at the airport by a group of people in traditional attires, representing different tribes.
