Dimapur, Nov. 14: Sikkim defeated Nagaland by 9 wickets on the third day of the Ranji Trophy match played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, at Sovima in Dimapur on Wed. Nov. 14. In the day’s match of the second innings, Nagaland managed to score 273 runs off 95 overs. Batsman Pawan K B was the highest scorer with 134 off 208 balls followed by Imliwati with 61 runs.
For the visitors, Ishwar Chaudhary took five wickets and BB Sharma chipped in with three wickets while Milind and Lee Yong Lepcha shared one wicket each.
At the end of the day’s match, Sikkim lasted 26 overs to beat Nagaland by nine wickets.
Sikkim’s Captain Nilesh Lamichaney scored 33 runs followed by Faizan Khan with 27 runs and Ashish Thapa with 20.
The only wicket for Nagaland was taken by Pawan Suyal.
Sikkim scored 374 and 81 runs in the first inning and second innings while Nagaland scored 179 and 273 runs in the second innings.
The next match will be played between Nagaland and Manipur from Dec. 6-9.
