Ranji Trophy: Nagaland lose to Meghalaya by 6 wickets

Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): Nagaland lost the four-day Ranji Trophy match against Meghalaya in Shillong by 6 wickets on Fri. Nov. 23. In an update received here on Fri. Nov. 23, Nagaland added 39 runs to their overnight score of 332 runs, before being all out for 371 giving Meghalaya a target of 88 runs to chase in the second innings. But Nagaland struck early through Pawan Suyal and Tahmeed Rahman and reduced Meghalaya to 12 for 3 at one stage. Nagaland had earlier won against Mizoram, but lost to Sikkim. Score: Meghalaya (1st innings)-389 all out R R Biswa-111 and Yogesh Nagar-166 runs For Nagaland, Pawan Suyal-5 wickets, Jalal-3 wickets Nagaland (1st innings)-106 all out K B Pawan-21 runs; Paras-20 runs, Hokaito-19 runs, Sedezalie-13 runs For Meghalaya, Gurinder Singh took 4 wickets, A Singhania and Lakhan Singh claimed 3 wickets each. Nagaland got follow on after a first innings deficit of 283 runs. Nagaland (2nd innings)-371 all out Nitesh-38, Sedezalie-68, Abrar Kazi-164, Paras-57 For Meghalaya, A Singhania took 5 wickets, Girinder Sing and Dippu 2 wickets each. Meghalaya (2nd innings)-91 for 4 Punit Bist-34 runs, Yogesh Nagar-29 runs For Nagaland, Pawan Suyal and Tahmeed Rahman claimed 2 wickets each. Nagaland will next play against Manipur at Dimapur from Dec. 6-9.
