Dimapur, April 6 (EMN): The platform one of Rangiya division under NF Railway has been declared as litter free and no plastic use platform after it has shown an exemplarily performance in many fronts during the recently concluded financial year.
A press release issued by the NF Railway Maligaon on April 6 mentioned that the division has provided 140 dustbins in bio-toilets fitted passenger trains based in New Bongaigaon and Rangapara north for the use of passenger to avoid blockages of bio-toilets while all 97 stations under the division have also been fitted with 100% LED lights.
It is said to be mentioned that the Rangiya division is the first division in Indian railways to introduce the “Honey Bee” project for keeping wild elephants away from track so that un-wanted collision with elephant can be avoided.
It is also said to be the first division in NF Railway to award the advertisement rights to outside agencies on exterior surface of two passenger trains. This is the first such initiative of NF Railway for mobilization of non-fare revenue.
