Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya along with the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan Kohima bade farewell to Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to Governor Nagaland, Major Abhishek Biswas at a function held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in Kohima on July 6.
Governor Acharya said Major Biswas, who hails from the India Army, had adjusted himself well in the civilian setup and has successfully carried out his duties as ADC to the Governor. The Governor wished the best to the outgoing ADC for his future endeavours. He also thanked Major Abhishek for his services.
Principal secretary to the governor, Piyush Goyal described the Biswas as a hard working and sincere officer who has done his job in an excellent manner. He mentioned that his new endeavour was recognition of his hard work.
Major in his farewell speech thanked the Governor’s Secretariat for the support shown towards him during his stay in Nagaland.
Biswas joined as ADC to Governor on March 21 2016 for a period of two years and subsequently extended his tenure for another six months. He has been selected for post graduate engineering course at IIT in Madras, for which he will be leaving before completion of his tenure. He will be joining his parent unit after completion of his studies.
Short speeches were also delivered by Joint Secretary SK Sahoo and Joint Secretary George Abraham who described Bisawas as a person who was always willing to help other.
