IMD forecasts rainfall and thunderstorms across Nagaland and Northeast India between March 10 and the 14th.

DIMAPUR — As the dry spell continues over Nagaland since November 2025, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds speed reaching (30-50 kmph) is likely over Northeast India during March 10 to the 14th.
According to the India Meteorological Department report on Sunday, Nagaland is going to experience isolated rainfall on March 9, 10, 13 and the 14th while scattered rainfall is expected on March 11 and the 12th.
As per the IMD Centre Kohima, in its district wise weather warning from March 8 to the 12th, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely (probability of 50-75% occurrence) at isolated places in Peren district on March 10 and the 11th, Dimapur, Wokha and Kohima are very likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places from March 9 to the 11th.
Zunheboto, Mokokchung and Longleng are expected to experience thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places on March 11 while Mon district is likely to experience the same on March 11 and the 12th and Tuensang district on March 12.

Also, the district rainfall forecast for the state updated that Mon, Wokha, Kohima, Dimapur and Peren will experience isolated rainfall (1 to 25% probability) on March 9 and the 10th, except for Kiphire and Phek.
Mon, Longleng, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Wokha, Kohima, Dimapur, Zunheboto and Peren are likely to receive isolated rainfall with a probability of 1 to 25% on March 11. On March 12, Mon, Tuensang and Kohima are likely to experience isolated rainfall.
