- DIMAPUR — In the
wake of the ongoing dispute over railway land in Dimapur, the Railway Affected
Landowners’ Association (RALOA) has expressed dismay at the Northeast Frontier
Railway (NFR), Lumding Division, for issuing eviction notices to some of its
members “defying the order” issued by the Guwahati High Court.
- In a press statement, RALOA said this is happening against
the backdrop of the Dimapur railway land issue raised by the Chief Minister,
Dr. Neiphiu Rio, during the 14th session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly
(NLA), including consideration of land relocation. It also stated that, at the
behest of RALOA, every effort is being made to find an amicable solution.
- It said all individual landowners are informed to
immediately report the matter to the association's office so that the issue can
be addressed from the correct perspective by the association, together with the
concerned authority.

- It went on to say that all individual landowners who were
served eviction orders earlier by the NFR have their respective stay orders
duly issued by the Guwahati High Court. Henceforth, all these matters will be
taken up by RALOA with the appropriate authority.
