DIMAPUR —Kohima Police have announced traffic
regulations in view of the Republic Day celebration at Secretariat Plaza in
Kohima on January 26.
In a press release, it informed that only vehicles with Car
Pass ‘Z’ (red) and Car Pass ‘Y’ (purple) will be allowed to enter the
Secretariat Plaza and be parked in the northern part of the venue. Vehicles
with Car Pass ‘X’ (green) have been directed to drop their respective officers
at the main gate and park outside the Secretariat Complex.
Vehicles without car passes will not be allowed to enter the
Secretariat Complex and should park along the Assembly Secretariat road.
No vehicles, including two-wheelers, will be allowed to park
by the roadside on January 26 from 6 am on the following routes till the
programme is over: from Raj Bhavan-TCP Gate-Razhu Point-High School-New
Secretariat Complex; New CM official Residence, Phezoucha to New Secretariat
Complex.
“Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply in Kohima town
till the programme is over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town
should be completed by 0600 hrs (6 am).
“While anticipating positive co-operation from the public,
the police will tow away the defaulting vehicles, and the charges will be borne
by the vehicle owners,” it stated.
